Limitations

Fit may be compromised over healing due to tissue resorption and changes in ridge contour
Frequent relines and adjustments typically required during the healing period
Esthetic and functional adaptation may be limited compared to permanent prostheses during the transition phase

Preparation

Three-dimensional digital design is based on pre-extraction scans or impressions combined with planned occlusal vertical dimension and facial support. The result is a prosthesis sized to match the patient’s anatomy immediately post-extraction.
