Indications

Used to protect teeth, jaws, and soft tissues from impact during contact sports or athletic activities.

Contraindications

Patients allergic to EVA or related thermoplastic materials
Severe malocclusion where precise fit cannot be achieved from scan alone
Non-compliant individuals unable to consistently wear the device during sports activities

Limitations

Thinner single-layer guards may compress under extreme bruxism or high-impact force
Multi-layer guards can feel bulky and may affect speech temporarily
No therapeutic effect; designed purely for protection rather than parafunctional habit management

Preparation

Submit intraoral scan(s) of the arch(es). Godent employs a fully digital workflow. Physical models are not required. Provide occlusal registration or bite relationship as needed for precise fit.

Verification Steps

Internal digital QC to confirm correct layer count, consistent thickness, and margin adaptation
Occlusal surface review to ensure full coverage without impinging soft tissue
Final visual inspection for trimming, symmetry, breathability, and edge smoothness prior to shipping

Policies & Warranty

Godent offers a 1 year limited warranty covering material or fabrication defects. If the sportguard fails due to lab error and is returned within the warranty period with case details, a replacement or repair will be provided free of charge. All digital scans and prescription files are stored securely to facilitate remakes or customized revisions upon request.
